Monkey Mind

/ / All Posts, Simon's Poems for Adi Da

Artist: Simon Pritchard. Painting: Guru Da

I watch the monkey mind
Clambering in the trees
He tosses down bananas
To hurt or as a tease

He is a bloody nuisance
Never satisfied
And if I start to chase
He has somewhere to hide

But lately I did recognize
This chimp is really You
And now I am not bothered
Whatever he might do

Your Shape is omnipresent
Includes this chimpanzee
Whatever he may seem to do
I stand Already Free

You have become all Forms
Love Penetrated through
The mind that is transparent
To the Bliss of One so True
