Like A Feather

by Simon Pritchard / Monday, 11 July 2016 / Published in All Posts, Simon's Writings

Soft like a feather
Are the hearts
That break before the
Birdsong starts

The dawn that cleaves us
To the day
Where I found you
And lost the way

And though our loving
Falls like rain
The rainbow bows it’s head again

And kneels before the Summer song
Of birds in flight
That now are gone

Please remember all the
Love
The hand that fitted in your glove
Is broken now
And cannot mend

My heart that broke
When you said
End
