I drove to the seaside
Feeling very blue
Sat down by the ocean
And pondered what to do
I took my trembling mind
Put it in a jar
Gazed at the horizon
And threw it very far
Out to sea it went
Bobbing on a wave
Carrying my thoughts to an early grave
At last I was free
No worries any more
Celebrating life
Joyful on the shore
But then the tide was turned
Something wasn’t right
I hadn’t closed the jar
Hadn’t locked it tight
All the crazy thoughts
Swept back to the land
Like fish dead and rotten
They washed up on the sand
I took my trembling thoughts
Put them in a jar
Put the jar inside my head
And drove off in my car
